Body Touches Body is an interdisciplinary project at the meeting point of shibari, body art and photography. It searches for relationships between things that may appear incompatible: freedom and restraint, nudity and drawing, body and image.

Extended sequence

The wider series follows the body from the first movement into suspension and back towards the ground.

Rope changes the painted body; paint shifts the reading of rope; the photograph holds both inside a single frame. The three photographs selected for the exhibition form a sequence about transformation, weight, support and the boundaries we choose to enter.
